This morning I had a lovely experience doing the Darkness into Light 2019 walk for Pieta House, Preventing Suicide and Self Harm with my family and dog Lady.
It was a 5km walk starting 4.15am. We walked through a lovely forest with candles lighting the path, choirs singing along the way until we reached light. The #DarknesstoLight lit up across the world in over 200 venues, in 19 countries across 5 continents.
Symbolically the walk represents the therapeutic counselling journey. It sparks conversation about the importance of mental health and wellbeing in all our lives. The entry fees raised around the world allow Pieta House and their international charity partners to continue to deliver their vital services.
Such a lovely heartwarming experience.
